Full Skin Check Consultation

Our Full Skin Consultation, provides a head-to-toe assessment of your skin, examining every area for abnormalities, suspicious moles, or changes. This option is ideal for anyone who has never had a skin check or those at higher risk due to personal or family history of skin cancer.

We begin with a complete review of your medical history, including any past skin issues, sun exposure habits, and family background. Then, our specialists use dermoscopy to evaluate your skin, identifying any areas that may require further attention or treatment. This comprehensive check not only identifies potentially cancerous lesions but also provides insight into non-cancerous conditions like benign moles, skin tags, or other skin growths.

A full skin check is particularly recommended for patients who have not previously undergone a molemap or those with multiple moles and sun damage, ensuring that any early signs of skin cancer are detected and treated promptly.

Biopsy

Biopsy for Suspicious Lesions

When a suspicious lesion is identified during a skin check, a biopsy may be recommended to determine if the lesion is cancerous or benign. A biopsy involves removing a small sample of skin tissue for further analysis in a laboratory. Our clinic offers several types of biopsies, ensuring the most appropriate and effective method is used based on the lesion’s size, location, and characteristics.

Types of Biopsies We Offer:

Punch Biopsy: A small, circular tool is used to remove a deeper core of skin tissue, ideal for examining growths that may extend below the surface. This method is often used for lesions that require a more thorough examination of multiple layers of skin.

Shave Biopsy: This technique involves removing the top layers of the lesion using a blade. It is commonly used for lesions that sit above the skin surface, such as raised moles or warts. It is less invasive, with minimal scarring and fast recovery times.

Excisional Biopsy: This involves the complete removal of the suspicious lesion, particularly when the entire growth needs to be examined.
